Near the tourist rest area in Kozičín, a forest playground with several play elements has been built among the trees, where small tourists can stretch out before heading to Brda. It is a set of low rope, balancing and climbing obstacles. The composition of the play elements is designed with an emphasis on the variety of use and all-round development of children. The forest playground consists of a set of rope obstacles, a mikado and a star obstacle. The low rope obstacles are game elements used to exercise coordination and strength. They are made up of high quality polypropylene ropes and complementary wooden elements. They are anchored to the tree trunks, which are protected by supporting logs. The mikado is an element made of acacia logs that children can crawl through freely to improve their movement and balance skills. The star obstacle consists of balancing and climbing obstacles at different inclinations. Taking into account the fact that the playground is located on the very border of the Brdy Protected Landscape Area, the aim was to build a playground as friendly as possible to the existing nature. Therefore, the obstacles are anchored without the use of concrete. The surface of the playground is made of wood chips, which will cushion any fall from the obstacles. The play area is certified as a rope park and according to the standard requires parental supervision of small climbers. It is intended for children from the age of three. The forest playground is designed to be unmanned, with year-round use depending on the weather.
