Opening of the tourist season 2024

We invite all history lovers, motoring enthusiasts and travellers to the opening of the tourist season in Příbram on 13 April 2024. This day will bring a rich program full of attractions and entertainment for individuals and families. We have prepared a list of events that you should definitely not miss.

Svatá Hora Pilgrimage Museum.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. you can enjoy a tour of the Svatohorské pilgrimage museum, where a fascinating journey through the history of the pilgrimage site of Svatá Hora from its foundation to the present day awaits you. Mining Museum Příbram: Dive into the world of mining/ Enter the mysterious underground

For all adult visitors, the Mining Museum Příbram offers a 50% discount on admission for this day. Between 9.00 and 16.00 you can learn about the Montagnard past connected with the mining of silver, uranium and other ores in the open-air museum at Březové Hory. You can also take a ride on a mining train on the surface and underground, explore several kilometres of tunnels, take a ride in a mining elevator or see unique steam mining machines and an extensive mineralogical collection. Czech Route 66: Adrenaline and history on wheels

Don't miss the traditional and popular parade of cans and motorbikes from all over the Czech Republic, which will take place from 10.00 to 14.00 on T. G. Masaryk Square. The event was inspired by the legendary crossings of the famous road of the world, the American Route 66.

Between 2 pm and 3 pm, the engines will roar on the square and cars and motorbikes will set off on a joyride along the shortest road with the number 66. The route of the Czech Route 66 ends after 8 km at the village of Milín.

Příbram Information Centre: everything you need to know

Between 10.00 and 15.00, you can also stop by the stand of the Příbram Information Centre on T. G. Masaryk Square. Here you can get information about the town and its surroundings, upcoming events and tourist attractions that you can discover during your visit to Příbram and its surroundings. There will be a fun quiz for young visitors with a chance to win a tempting prize for completing it correctly.
