Příbram invites you on a journey into the mining past. The exhibition on the square also attracts visitors to the June festivities
The history that has shaped the city and its people is coming right back to the streets. On T. G. Masaryk Square in Příbram, you can see an outdoor panel exhibition dedicated to mining - a field that has shaped the shape and life of the town for centuries.
The exhibition commemorates not only technical achievements and world records, but also the everyday life of miners, their traditions and the strong moments that accompanied the region. Ten thematic panels present the development of mining, mining symbols, festivals, the life of mining families and the importance of local mining education.
In addition, the tour can be varied by asking questions that are part of each panel - especially pleasing for families with children or those who want to explore the exhibition in a playful way.
The exhibition also serves as an invitation to this year's major event - the 30th Meeting of Mining Towns and Municipalities of the Czech Republic and the 19th European Day of Miners and Metallurgists. These festivities will take place in Příbram from 12 to 14 June 2026 and will bring traditional parades, meetings of miners and a rich accompanying programme to the town.
The outdoor exhibition is freely accessible. It can be found on T. G. Masaryk Square and will then move to 17 November Square, where it will be on display until mid-June.
