Chateau Březnice

Add to planner

A Renaissance chateau whose layout does not deny that it was built by rebuilding a medieval fortress.

In the interiors you will find not only the family galleries but also an armoury with a rich collection of cold weapons and hunting rifles of Hanuš of Kolovrat. The exposition also includes the so-called Lokšanská library from 1558 - the oldest preserved Renaissance castle library in Bohemia. The herb garden and the English park are also worth a visit, where you can take a carriage ride in the summer. Evening castle concerts, revived tours in the middle of summer and Christmas at Březnice Castle have become an annual tradition.
Distance from Příbram: 17 km.
