Forest park Litavka

Forest park Litavka is a nice place where our citizens like to rest and relax. A few years ago, the virtual educational trail was established there which enabled visitors to discover secrets of the beautiful area. Real educational trail following the online project was inaugurated on 21st October 2015. The memorable national tree was announced on that occasion – lime tree named after Charlotta Masaryk.

The educational trail was developed in cooperation with the city of Příbram, civil association Ochrana fauny (Fauna Protection), Mining Museum of Příbram and State District Archives of Příbram. The trail gathered interesting information from history and present of the forest park. Information boards with 12 stops are placed on the south-western park of Příbram in Litavka River Valley. The starting point is the parking lot near football stadium 1. FK Příbram or in the other direction in settlement Vysoká Pec near Vysokopecký Pond, also known as Pecovák. Information boards inform present animals, nature and places where silver was mined hundreds of years ago. Children can fulfil entertaining tasks at each stop of the trail.
