Museum of Rural Buildings in Middle Povltaví Region
The open-air museum presents important monuments of rural architecture that declare evolution of folk dwelling from half of the 18th century till the beginning of 20th century in the area of Středočeská pahorkatina (Central Bohemian Uplands) and middle Povltaví (Area around Vltava River) which is area influenced by stone mining. Residential, farm and technical buildings and some sacral objects endangered in their original locations were relocated to the natural area of an open-air museum. Interior installations introduce a way of living in villages. Some original objects and items were stored from rural households such as folk costumes, agricultural and craft tools and many more.
