Summer in Příbram: concerts, an open-air cinema and evenings under the stars
The summer holidays in Příbram will once again be full of summer fun. You can look forward to open-air concerts, screenings at the open-air cinema, theatre performances, farmers’ markets and popular events by the water. We’ve put together an overview of the most interesting things you can experience during July and August.
Březové Hory: a celebration of tradition
Summer in Březové Hory kicks off on 4 July with celebrations marking the 140th anniversary of the founding of the Březové Hory Volunteer Fire Brigade. This will be followed the next day by the traditional Prokop Fair, which attracts visitors from far and wide every year.
The cultural programme organised by the Příbram Mining Museum at the Ševčinský Mine site will begin at 2.00 pm and will mark the 810th anniversary of the first written mention of Příbram. Throughout the day, admission to all exhibitions at the Příbram Mining Museum, including a descent into the underground, will be available for a symbolic 1 Kč.

Dvořák Embankment: Saturday farmers’ markets and brass band music
The popular farmers’ markets on Dvořák Embankment continue throughout the summer holidays, where you can buy fresh regional produce, homemade delicacies and handcrafted goods, and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere.

Summer cinema: films under the stars
Warm summer evenings are perfect for open-air screenings. Screenings begin after dark and this year will once again offer a mix of new releases, family films and Czech comedies.

Nový rybník: summer relaxation by the water with good food
The Nový rybník complex is the ideal spot for summer relaxation by the water. As well as swimming, sports facilities and refreshments, it will also host the popular Piknik na Nováku food festival.
